What Impact Means to Us
We believe volunteering should create real value for the communities our students become part of. Students in our personalized volunteering placements contribute their time, skills, and energy to local organizations that are making a difference in Barcelona.
To further support these organizations, a portion of every student’s program fee is donated directly to the nonprofit or community project they volunteer with.

You choose the focus, and we help shape an experience that feels right for you, whether that means volunteering, Spanish immersion, creative classes, sports, theater, social entrepreneurship, or a mix of everything. It’s designed for curious students who want more than a one-size-fits-all gap year. Some participants thrive with a full schedule and lots of structure, while others prefer a lighter rhythm with a few meaningful activities each day, leaving space to explore, reflect, and discover what matters most to them.

Join hands-on initiatives with local Barcelona partners like Homeless Entrepreneur, Ananda, Hipica Foixarda, Barcelona Street Soccer, and more. These experiences create real impact in local communities while helping you build practical skills that last a lifetime.
Your gap year, customized to fit your interests.
Your schedule can be built around whatever you are into or curious about. For example, you could volunteer in the morning, take entrepreneurship sessions in the afternoon, and spend evenings in Spanish classes or creative workshops. Another student might combine sport and theater, while someone else chooses a more community-focused path with volunteering, language learning, and social impact projects.

Kayla joined our program with an interest in gaining real-world experience in the arts while also giving back to the local community. During her time in Barcelona, she completed an internship at a theater company and volunteered with Barcelona Street Soccer, combining professional development with meaningful social youth impact. Lauren joined our program with a strong interest in sustainability, journalism, and creative exploration. During her time in Barcelona, she combined research and writing experience with immersive photography classes alongside students from around the world. Her experience included:
- Researching regenerative agriculture and biodiversity to support sustainability projects
- Turning scientific and market data into engaging articles and blog posts
- Writing and publishing articles in both languages across Barcelona-based journals
- Participating in photography classes focused on capturing the architecture, and culture
